City Tour in Iquique and Sailing to the Esmeralda Buoy
Historical tour of the city of Iquique, visiting its old town full of the history of the Saltpeter in the Tarapacá Region, at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century. Visiting the main beaches of Iquique and its parks, with its historical monuments and then sailing through the bay to see the Emerald Buoy. Landmark where the heroic Naval Combat of Iquique took place in 1879.

Itinerary
Departure from lodging between 09:30 and 9:45, to Huayquique Beach to receive the sea air, then the Cavancha Peninsula to visit the grotto de Lourdes Church and Coastal Panoramic to May 21th square and the monument to Arturo Prat national hero.
Walk along Boulevard Baquedano to enjoy the Oregon pine wooden houses built in a Georgian style at the beginning of the last century (their balconies and pillars stand out). Then we will visit the Prat main square and the clock tower from 1877. The facade of the Municipal theater and the former customs office. Walk through the outer area of the Esmeralda Corvette Replica for photos, visit the Riquelme Fisherman’s Cove and the Prat Passenger Pier to connect with the boat that will take us to Navigate the bay, visiting the Fishing Boats sector, Iquique Port Breakwater (landing sector merchandise for ZOFRI), the Sea lions island and the Emerald Buoy, with an interesting story about the events that occurred on May 21, 1879.
Transfer to ZOFRI to have an afternoon free of tax-free shopping or return to Hotel (optional).
