About two hours from Iquique, an incredible experience of contact with nature in Chusmiza and its surroundings. In a trekking activity open to all public and level of experience. It is not necessary to have experience in trekking, the ALTUS team will instruct you in a simple way, on how to carry out this walk along a 3 km natural path, where you will have sightings of highland flora and fauna. You will also enjoy the replenishing and exquisite Chusmiza Hot Springs, as well as typical Aymara food and at night a conversation over the heat of a bonfire and under the scenery of the sky.

Itinerary

Day 1: Departure from lodging in Iquique to Quebrada de Chusmiza. Crossing the desert to connect with the Chusmiza ravine. Stop at the Alto Chusmiza viewpoint and visit the ravine and town where the adobe houses, the Inca-style terraced crops and the surrounding cacti stand out. Lunch in a typical restaurant and then there will be a Trekking activity of 3 Kilometers traveling through herding paths, suitable for all audiences at the experience level, where you can see native flora and fauna, and enjoy the Chusmiza Hot Springs to recharge yourself with mystical energy and Andean, in the middle of beautiful natural landscapes. The day will end around a bonfire enjoying a good conversation, under the sky and gazing at the stars.

Day 2: We will start the day around 9:00 am, with a typical breakfast and then we will have a Trekking activity towards the Petroglyphs of Chusmiza, pre-Hispanic rock art of ancestral cultures and caravans, who left a trace of their Inca and Aymara culture. We will return to the lodge to enjoy a typical typical lunch, to later begin the return to the city of Iquique, without first visiting the Cerro Unita, where the Atacama Giant is located (the largest geoglyph in the world in human figure, of 119 meters long), which represents a Shaman or Yatiri, as well as the Andean god Wiracocha.
